Beatriz has a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Porto. Portugal. She has published papers in specialised journals, participated in scientific events and research projects. She is currently a PhD. researcher in the subject of cognitive, emotional and relational adaptability to significant life transitions.
Beatriz is a psychologist, coach, and researcher with a passion for helping people navigate life’s big changes. Originally from Portugal, she has also spent many years studying and working in Brazil and Germany. These experiences taught her about different cultures and the challenges people face during times of change.
Beatriz works with people going through major life transitions, such as starting a new job, becoming a parent, getting married or divorced, and dealing with loss or trauma. She also researches how people grow emotionally and socially at different stages of life. Currently, she is completing her PhD with universities in Portugal and Germany, where she studies how life changes affect our mental and emotional well-being.
Early on, Beatriz noticed how people often hold on tightly to what feels safe (even when this hurting them), finding it hard to accept change or loss. She felt this herself often and became curious about it. This curiosity led her to study how early experiences shape who we are and to train in a kind of therapy called Schema Therapy. This approach helps people understand and move beyond old patterns and beliefs that hold them back. Beatriz has seen many people stuck in the same habits since childhood, missing chances to grow. She wants to help them face their fears, understand themselves better, and feel more hopeful about the future.
To Beatriz, each client’s journey is a path they walk together. She feels very lucky to be part of their stories and to help them find growth and peace through change.
